Main Application
Extra heavy duty control cables For application with high mechanical stresses (i.e.: tensile and torsion simoultaneously applied). This cable has been developed and designed in order to meet special conditions of application, in particular where small dimensions and light weight are mandatory.
They are designed to offer maximum flexibility and torsion resistance, making them suitable for dynamic spreader applications. Their rugged construction ensures reliable operation even in harsh industrial environments.
UTV CAVI cable reel spreader cables are designed for heavy-duty applications in the port and industrial sectors, particularly in container lifting systems on mobile cranes and RTG/STS. Extreme operating conditions require high-performance cables capable of withstanding tensile strength, torsion, repeated bending, and weathering.
Among its main features we can define: small dimension, lighter weight, excellent flexibility, high operating speed (up to 240m/1′), excellent mechanical performances.

Technical Features
- Conductor: Tinned copper conductor, flexible cl.5 IEC 60228
- Insulation: Thin thickness made of special tecnopolymer
- Cores Identification: SPR: white and/or black numbered / VS: Colours according to DIN VDE 0293 part 308 / HD 308 S2
- Central filler: Rubber compound in Aramide Kevlar® element (to be used as support element)
- Inner Sheath: Made of special polyurethane – A combination of high flexibility characteristics with improved abrasion and tear resistance characteristics
- Antitwisting element: Textile braid of synthetic yarns, firmly bonded between inner and outer sheath
- Outer Sheath: Yellow special polyurethane/polychloroprene rubber compound

UTVFLEX®-SPR & PANZERLITE
These flexible, lightweight cables are specifically designed for use on motorized cable reels installed on spreaders. They offer:
- High flexibility to ensure continuity of service even with intensive winding/unwinding cycles.
- High resistance to abrasion, UV rays and industrial oils.
- Excellent dimensional stability even at low temperatures.
UTVFLEX®-VS & PANZERFLEX-L VS
These versions are optimized for vertical motion systems (Vertical Spreader), where the cable is subjected to particularly severe mechanical stresses, both in tension and in bending. Features include:
- Internal reinforcement to ensure durability and reliability in continuous vertical runs.
- Anti-torsion structure with center support element or stabilizing braid.
- Outer sheath made of special compound resistant to wear, salt water and shock.
