Springs and cable socks are essential tools designed to ensure a strong and reliable grip on cables. They work by evenly distributing the tensile force along the cable, which helps to prevent any damage or tearing during the installation process. These devices are particularly useful in vertical cable installations, such as those involving UTVFLEX-SPR, UTVFLEX-VS, UTVFLEX-VCR, Panzerlite, and Panzerflex-L VS.
Cable socks come in various configurations, including single or double redance, and can be open or closed. They can also be customized to meet specific customer requirements, such as special diameters or lengths. While the standard version is typically made from galvanized steel, they can also be manufactured using 316 Stainless Steel for added durability.
The design of cable socks includes a braided mesh structure that tightens around the cable when tension is applied, ensuring a secure and even grip. Additionally, these socks feature an eyelet or loop, making it easy to attach the cable puller to other traction or lifting equipment.
On the other hand, springs are components specifically designed to protect and support electrical cables by minimizing the effects of vibration and mechanical stress during installation. These springs are available in different capacities, depending on the level of pull required. Their spiral design allows them to compress and expand, absorbing mechanical forces and thereby safeguarding the cables from damage and reducing the likelihood of breakage.
